SEE ME, SEE YOU: EARLY VIDEO INSTALLATION OF SOUTHEAST ASIA is an exhibition that stages pivotal artworks by ten artists from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Their experiments with the moving image, alongside installation, performance and audience participation, marked the emergence of video installation in the region in the 1980s and 1990s. The exhibition’s logo and visual identity celebrate the video glitches, noise, signals and colours of VHS and the CRT television.
