Wayfinding
With eight levels of intelligently designed shopping space, ION Orchard is the largest retail mall on Orchard Road. Totalling 66,000m2 of retail space, it has become the “centre of gravity” in the retail scene, with spectacular frontage and cutting edge desgn concepts. Working together with the architect, a wayfinding system was designed for this iconic development. Apart from the directional signs, an interactive touch-screen directory system was designed and implemented on every level. Apart of its function, the widespread use of this interactive directory system also portrays ION Orchard as a progressive mall always ready to embrace new technology.
